- Ajax performance analysis – A good run-down of using the Firefox extensions YSlow (from Yahoo!) and Firebug (love it!) to evaluate performance time in AJAX development. Much of it could be applied to HTTP performance outside of AJAX as well.
- Zend Framework in Action – This blog is a promotional site for a forthcoming book, but it includes good information and links about using the Zend Framework.
- 10 Principles of Effective Design – Far from a competent designer myself, I find this list pragmatic and intelligent, eschewing pretty looks for usable design.
- Design Patterns – A long list of OOP design patterns. Haven’t look closely yet, but could be a cool reference / learning tool.
- Subtraction – Khoi Vinh’s blog site, inspiration for many changes made to the Grid Focus theme used on hellorobot.org.
- 100 Free WordPress Themes – A list of free design themes for WordPress. Most of them are ugly; but there are a few gems.
- Grid Focus – Hello, robot is based on this WordPress theme by Derek Punsalan.
